We here at Found In The Alley like stuff. Random stuff. Among random things we’ve found is an absolutely kickass game called Cards Against Humanity. This game is ‘similar’ to Apples to Apples (another awesome game), with two notable differences.
1) All of the White Cards are filled with truly horrible and terrible things. MechaHitler, The Trail Of Tears, Unborn Babies ect…
2) Instead of the Black Cards being a single word, they’re phrases that can require up to 3 answers per player. Way more variety in that regard for sure.
So, in today’s podcast, we get a few people playing the game while Ryan judges them. Of course, Ryan would have played this game, if he weren’t a loser with his own home way up near Seattle instead of being a bum back in California with everyone (who may or may not be bums) who played! Who will come out on top? Will it be Eric, the Lord of Vulgarity? Will it be Keiran, the one responsible for us not being able to post our game of Panty Explosion Perfect? Will it be Joe, the sandwich hating robot boy who may never have gotten to third base no matter how many times Ryan demands to know the answer? Will it be Andrew, The guy with the Frenchie last name? Will it be Adam, our one Republican friend? Will it be Rando Cardrissian, the deck of cards that just takes his choice from the top?!
Spoilers : It won’t be Ryan or Robert winning.
Ryan may also talk about Super Monday Night Combat which is free to play on the PC right now! (Available on Steam)
So, without further adieu, feel free to download this podcast HERE!
And, as always iTunes, Stitcher, and this site will continue to have the very best in the very worst of podcasting!

We here at Found in the Alley are committed to bringing you the latest in gaming news and commentary. As such these are none of those. Today we talk with John W. Hawthorne (No relation to the Hawthorne’s of Hawthorne Wipes), first time author, long time storyteller, community organizer and roleplayer. His first book is Dark Mercury Volume 1: Haven and Hope, a near future cyber-punk, post-humanist, techno-thriller. Man that is a lot of hyphens. If you like any of those genres take a listen to my rambling interview (really need to knock the cobwebs off my interviewing skills again) with John about what it is like to self-publish in the age of Amazon, where he drew inspiration for this book, and finally a spoiler heavy review of Mass Effect 3 months behind schedule… now with more (and longer) shitty endings.

I like Warhammer 40,000. I hope you do to, because this episode is all about the new 6th edition. I have been playing this game since I was in high school and desperately trying to cobble together a 2nd edition army. Played some Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Dark Eldar, and Tau over the years and even dominated a couple of years of local tournaments. So I like to think I know a bit about 40K and how it is played. That said I haven’t played a lot over the last few years being stuck down in Monterey. So when an old friend of mine Stacey Block asked if anyone out there wanted to try out the new edition of 40K I jumped at the chance. Stacey has been one of those top tier players that I would fear to go up against in any tourney, but loved to see in casual play as I always learned a lot.
So we headed down to out FLGS Ronin Games in Castro Valley to play. On the way I thought this would also be a great opportunity to do a podcast, that way not only could I learn all the differences and add on’s to the new version of the game… but so could our, literally, tens… of fans. So what you have here will be an audio podcast of talking about the new game and the changes, a narrated battle report with pics, and then the second half of the podcast is out after action report about how it played. We spare you the tedious (Although I have to admit, building an army list, getting it to the table and playing went surprisingly quick) process of listening to us play and just get you back to the important bits of rules and what not. So stay a while and listen… or don’t… no one else is.

Welcome to Found In The Alley, where dreams about seeing two fairly unattractive white guys can be reality! OH NO!
This specific episode took advantage of the Google Hangouts, webcams, and a complete lack of maturity. Ryan’s eyes glow with an eerie light, and Robert’s world steadily creeps into darkness… Until he turns on the lamp. The video (which has things Ryan edited out of the legit podcast… with good reason) can be found below!
The podcast itself holds a number of interesting things. Among them are the following…
- Pulsefire Ezreal gets a royal welcome on League Of Legends
- Prometheus stunned Ryan, but left Robert pleased. Find out how and why!
- Ryan reviews Asura’s Wrath. See if it survives his wrath.
- Ryan and Robert basically look terrible.
As for the actual podcast itself, you can always download them via iTunes, this site, or eschew downloading entirely and stream it via Stitcher!
Next Episode (Recording Sunday at 7 p.m. PST on July 8th) will feature up and coming author John Hawthorne, author of Haven and Hope (Available online at Amazon right now!) will be on to talk about his book, writing in this new era, and maybe some other crap we’ll think up on the fly.
And as always you can contact us via our e-mail : firstname.lastname@example.org

Wow. That took FOREVER to make. Seriously. A Long time. But now we’re done dealing with a ton of personal garbage (well, as much as we can be at this point) and are bringing our Award Winning Podcast* straight into your brains! Yes! Award Winner Ryan Burton and Runner Up Award Loser Robert Fulkerson have created for you a bouquet of audio sounds that would make John Cage go “Stop it, that can never be music.”
Contained within is the following sound nuggets:
- Why the hiatus this time, you lazy bastards?
- Games we’ve played a bunch since our missingness occurred?
- Future games we will be playing!
- Jokes about Ryan’s penis.
There’s bound to be more, but I don’t need to tell you that! Why did I? Sleep deprivation!
Feel free to download us via iTunes or this site. Or, if downloading isn’t your bag, get Stitcher! It’s an app you can use to stream this, and MANY MANY other podcasts right to your device! It’s free to you, and if you sign up and tell them we sent you, we get paid! Holy crap!? Then we’re legit!
Make us legit!
Those Jumbo Jacks won’t buy themselves…
* – The award is for tiniest penis.

Before we get started, today’s show has a few plugs. First, for Ryan and his wife’s other more different podcast-like experiment, She Bombs. Second, we have a new way to digest us in the wonder App “Stitcher!” You can see how to download it for free in the upper left corner of this here page.
That said, today’s episode is awesome for a number of reasons. First, The Game Developers Conference is awesome. Listen in as Bryson Perez joins Ryan and Robert on extolling it’s virtues. Among it’s many treasures is the game “Sissy’s Ponycorn Adventure“. Seriously, take 15 minutes to see what a father/daughter development team can do together. Also, ignore the art, it was literally done by a 5 year old.
Also on the program, we hear a bit about Diablo 3. I won’t spoil it here, so you need to hear about it inside! It’s glorious!
Found In The Alley. We’re awesome and junk. Or junk… Something.

Surprise! We do stuff. This is an example of that stuff! Robert and Ryan discuss nostalgia in gaming, including why old franchises get new facelifts, and why the past is also the mind killer. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Do you long for the days long past, or reach to the stars for a brighter tomorrow?! WILL THE SUN SOON SET ON HUMANITY?!
IT’S COMING PEOPLE! WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!
Oh, and Ryan loves the bajeezus out of Street Fighter X Tekken. Listen in and find out why. Also, if you’d like to FIGHT Ryan in it (as of this writing, he’s ranked 815th in the world on the 360, without obnoxious boosting. >_< ), feel free to leave a message with your Xbox live user name, or Email us at FoundInTheAlley@gmail.com , and he’ll add you and have his Juri kick the shit out of you.
News! Ryan is also going to attempt to get us hooked up with Stitcher, the online radio streaming service that’s totally free. It’s not confirmed yet, but it looks promising!
Now, the podcast! It can be downloaded from this link : Download me from here!
And, for streaming live from the website :

Hi. We missed you. Not because we are terrible with firearms or other ranged weaponry, but because it’s been a while since Robert and Ryan has blabbed in your ears together. On today’s show, we have a number of interesting topics and concerns to bring to your attention. A slew of games get reviews, our activities and DunDraCon get exhaustively detailed (Or maybe that’s Ryan’s take on it, since he had to edit this podcast for what felt like hours), and we find out the Extreme Masturbate Theater : Home Edition may have more in common with a 12 stroke engine than originally anticipated.
Included within today’s show SPECIFICALLY is:
- A review of War Of Indines, a game from Level 99 games of Duel and Dual card game. (They can be found at http://www.lvl99games.com/) High marks, but how does it compare to Yomi? Find out!
- Death Angel, The Warhammer Space Hulk card game. Ryan is still under the impression that it cannot be beaten without witchcraft.
- The Song Of Ice And Fire RPG! Ryan knows NOTHING of the stories it’s based on, but he knows how to use a hammer!
- Robert requests the use of Anima Prime (Available for download for FREE at www.animaprimerpg.com/ ) to make a League Of Legends character for something he wants to see. Can you make Ashe as close to the real thing as possible? We’ll find out, won’t we?!
And as always if you have any questions/comments/concerns/paternity suits/business suits/4 of clubs to give us, please contact us at FoundInTheAlley@gmail.com or leave some comments here. It’s greatly welcome, and would let Ryan know that someone other than himself listens to this. Why does he listen anyway? He sounds retarded.
The file can be (as always) picked up on iTunes, or downloaded from here: Ep 28 FINAL
Those of you lucky enough to stream from the web can do so here as well.
It feels good to be home, even if the last two podcasts Ryan did involved his wife. I wonder how Robert will up the ante… Only time can tell!

One (+) year has passed since Robert and Ryan got together to make this abortion of a podcast series. Many things have been tried, including magic tricks and demon worship, but all with mixed results. Contained within is our year in review! The things reviewed include games, this podcast, and our favorite moments.
Do we get sidetracked a few times? Yes.
Is it Ryan’s fault? Probably.
Probably? Ok, shut up.
For those of you who like to download direct from the site, rather than various Apple sites, do so HERE!

When we recorded this, there was a bit of a distraction… We did our podcast while playing a few bot games of League Of Legends. While normally this would lead to entire acres of silence, I went through and clipped as many as I could find. So, *MOST* of the giant gaps should be resolved.
That said, we review Disgaea 4 and Batman Arkham City, as well as discuss a little about the flaws of Star Wars : The Old Republic. Also, there’s a secret inside too!
Also, at minute 52, Keiran made a joke about me. After having listened to it several times, I still do not get it. Maybe you will, and that’ll make you a better person than me.
WINNER HAS BE SELECTED. CONTEST OVER! Yay for winners!
